OSTEOPATH LONGUEUIL & SOUTH SHORE OF MONTREAL
Daniel Parent Osteopath has been active for several years on the South Shore of Montreal.
Our clinic specializing in osteopathic care has been receiving people from Longueuil, Vieux-Longueuil, and the South Shore for several years to treat muscle and joint problems, tendonitis, torticollis, but also to help persistent discomfort in athletes, or pregnant women.
Founded in Longueuil by Daniel Parent following obtaining a B.Sc. in physical activity of the U of L, and later of a DO of the College of Osteopathic Studies of Montreal, the firm is dedicated to the best of the osteopathic profession.
A consultation with an osteopath always begins with the anamnesis, in order to fully understand the reasons for the consultation, and to optimize and personalize the treatment and therapy. Osteopathic treatments are carried out by an experienced therapist, qualified in osteopathy, in order to offer a holistic and tailor-made approach.
From the beginning Daniel has been dedicated to the excellence of this manual, holistic medicine. It is a natural alternative for everyone on the South Shore. In Montérégie, Parent Osteopath Longueuil maintains an office in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, and will be honored by your visit to one or other of its offices.
Residents of Longueuil, Brossard, Mont-Saint-Bruno, St-Hubert, Laprairie, St-Jean-Sur-Richelieu, Chambly and Boucherville receive osteopathic care at Parent Ostéopathe.
DEFINING OSTEOPATHY
What is osteopathy? Preventive or curative, it helps people of all conditions. The osteopath restores the movement and vitality of tissues (fascia, bones, muscles, organs, etc.), which allows the body to regain by itself
D. PARENT: YOUR OSTEOPATH
In 1979 I obtained a B.Sc. in physical activity at Laval University. This competence is well appreciated by all persons seeking advice in the fields; sports, exercises, training, whether at the gym
The course of an osteopathic session
For 70% of health problems related to osteopathy 3 or 4 consultations with the osteopath are enough to meet the patient’s short-term goals. The other 30% will only ask for one or two sessions of care, or will ask for several, as in the case of certain diseases or chronic conditions.
In order to achieve such efficiency, how do these appointments take place? The osteopath first welcomes the patient. When it comes to a first meeting, and there is an opening of file, the osteopath does first;
THE ANAMNESIS
This questionnaire allows him to know the reasons for consulting the client, his symptoms, and to make a health check.
PHYSICAL EXAMINATION
He then observes the subject in different positions. It does mobility and vitality tests. In particular, he uses palpation for various tests.
TREATMENT PLAN
This plan can evolve during care, as the perception of the causes is refined, relaxations are obtained, and blockages give way.
TREATMENT
Osteopathic treatment employs a lot of manual techniques. Sometimes it works at the muscular or articular level, other times at the cranial, visceral or fluid level.
ADVICE
The osteopath makes recommendations about exercises, lifestyle, diet, self-treatment instructions to follow at home, etc.
CLOTHING
For an osteopathic treatment the most appropriate clothes are soft pants and jerseys, with a little elasticity, or underwear with which you are comfortable,
