What approaches should be used for the treatment of patients in Laprairie?

For the following sessions, we use four different approaches when treating our patients, namely:

  • Structural approach;
  • Visceral approach;
  • Cranial approach;
  • Energy approach.

Structural approach

Using this approach, we rely on the muscle structures of the body for the proper treatment of our patient. We use joints, muscle chains, fascia, tendons, ligaments and more.

Visceral approach

This approach is based on the viscera and organs in general to treat osteopathic patients. Liver, lung, heart, kidney, spleen, stomach, intestine, colon, ovary and uterus are the main organs involved in this approach. It consists of decongesting these organs.

Cranial approach

The bones of the skull and face, their sutures, meninges, cavities, sinuses, brain masses and others are the pillars of this approach. It’s also an approach we use to treat our patients.

Energy Approach

Every human body is endowed with an energy and it is this energy that we use at Osteopath Parent for an effective treatment. The vital energy, its circuits, roads, crossroads or its fabric are all used in this approach.

What happens during an osteopathic consultation session in LaPrairie?

At the Osteopath Parent clinic based in Laprarie, for the first session with a patient, we practice the anamnesis. This consists of asking specific questions to the patient in order to determine the reasons for their consultation. Then, we perform a physical examination that allows us to do the patient’s health check-up. This is because we observe our patients in different positions using palpation. This health check-up allows us to offer our client an ideal osteopathic treatment plan for his recovery. At the end, we provide advice on physical exercise and lifestyle and diet.

For the sessions that follow, we first discuss with the client the progress of their condition. Then we move on to the operating room. To do this, the osteopath dresses in soft trousers and swimsuits with a little elasticity. After that, the osteopractitioner treats the patient by working at the muscular, cranial, visceral, vascular, cutaneous, energetic or liquid level.
