HEALING: WHAT THE OSTEO SAYS

Healing: We witness it every day. A little asleep, in front of her we say. “it’s normal”, “it’s natural”, sometimes without becoming aware of the magnitude of the phenomenon. Yet what a prodigy! What a miracle!

Healing:

We see that every day. A little asleep, in front of her we say. “it’s normal”, “it’s natural”, sometimes without becoming aware of the magnitude of the phenomenon. Yet what a prodigy! What a miracle!

The osteopath is only an instrument in the hands of greater forces, a humble servant. But without the patient’s participation, there is no completion. Two “poles” are involved in osteopathy:

Contribution of the “Great Architect”

… The prowess of the immune system; The regenerative capacity of cells; The magic of blood clotting, and healing of all living tissues; The different modes of elimination and purification of the body; The countless mechanisms of adaptation, those of homeostasis, and all the other biological processes by which the healing of the human body occurs…

All this gives rise to a multitude of captivating descriptions from modern science about the mechanics of these biological processes.

But the “mechanic”, the intelligence that orchestrates these mechanisms, and the raw material behind this operation, remains unknown to this science.

Modern science has a knowledge of the living world, which quickly reaches its limits. And whole sections of the reality of life escape him.

There is a large gap between true knowledge of these realities, and current scientific knowledge. Osteopathy offers a privileged field to any authentic researcher of the synthesis between these two types of knowledge.

The Healing Force present in all of nature, the Intelligence of the living, Life itself is at the heart of these realities. The “Great Architect” is the term that A. T. Still, founder of osteopathy, sometimes used to talk about it.

Contribution of the individual

Healing is fundamentally a process that engages the whole individual. Osteopathic correction is only one element in the whole. In a clinical setting, the concept of comprehensiveness specific to osteopathy is sometimes limited to the physical level. This is the minimum to be covered in this context.

At the Longueuil clinic, the osteopath takes into account not only the interactions and links between the different systems, the different parts of the patient’s body, but also his lifestyle; Diet, exercise, sleep, ergonomics of daily tasks, stress management, and sometimes food supplementation.

During a treatment, the osteopath sometimes provides advice on at least one of these aspects. And when a client needs more specialized skills in one of these areas, they collaborate with another professional; Nutritionist, posturologist, ergonomist, teacher of yoga, tai chi, pilates, sports coach, doctor, etc.

It should be noted that the concept of globality is much broader, than can usually be taken into account in a conventional clinical situation. Those who become aware of the roots of their discomfort on other levels (energetic, emotional, mental, etc.) better understand the concept of globality. By involving these plans, the whole of its approach to regenerate itself is concerned.

Heal; A path

Someone who embarks on this path, works on himself. He is in self-observation mode, to discover who he is, and discover his imbalances on different levels. He has discipline, both physical and psychological. He has patience, and he recognizes his deep nature, beyond the body and affects.

His approach takes place at any time; As much in the osteopath’s office, as at home, at work, on the street, or elsewhere. He embarked on the path of transformation and real healing.

People from Longueuil, the South Shore of Montreal, and all of Montérégie are welcome at D Parent Osteopaths.
